This recipe brings out the tender, meaty flavor of short ribs.
Heat 2 T oil in a skillet large enough to fit short ribs over medium heat. When the oil sizzles, put the short ribs in the pan and brown for 5 minutes on each side until completely brown. Transfer to a baking dish. Combine vinegar, duck sauce, honey, soy sauce, ginger ale and garlic. Pour half the sauce over the short ribs. Cover pan tightly. Bake on 350° for 2-1/2 hours. You can leave in longer for softer meat. When ready, remove from oven and put on a plate. Pour remaining sauce over the meat. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
